Genre: Black / Thrash
Label: High Roller
If somebody asked me for which music genre I have a particular weakness, I would almost immediately answer that it’s the Black / Thrash one. These branches of metal have been my precious companions since the teenage angst years and have nurtured me and helped me grow into a real woman, each in its own way. However… fusing those genres together… well, my chakras are instantly and spontaneously combusting, my mind melts. Many times have I referred to albums that stand out and bands that nothing less than cutting your throat with a bent aluminum beer can. Condor, members of the Kolbotn Thrashers Union along with equally dangerous bands Darkthrone, Infernö, Repellent, Nekromantheon and Obliteration, belong to the aforementioned category, and after three years of silence, they are back with their second full length album =, entitled “Unstoppable Power”, released in 12 ” vinyl on March 9 via High Roller, while a CD format is to be released on April 28th via the same label. “Unstoppable Force” is what the title describes. It is a manifesto of speed and wickedness, intended to uplift your spirits and make you beg Abaddon to work his magic and bring Condor on a live stage near you. Condor have returned more thrash than ever, with the black metal elements taking a small step back. This does not, however, mean that they have disappeared. “Unstoppable Force” contains what you expect. Fast guitars with sharp riff and intelligent hooks that stay in your mind, drums that unconsciously and almost instantaneously force you to bang your feet to the beat, bass that even though I lost t a few times it’s quite clean and gives the necessary depth to the compositions and finally a voice that emerges full of hatred and malice from a cauldron that boils souls in a very very dark corner of hell. This album is ideal for warming up for a drinking-till-you-pass-out night out with friends. Absolutely recommended for fans of Aura Noir, Obliteration, Deathhammer, Darkthrone, Nekromantheon, Töxik Death.
