Years go passing by, styles change but….oops, did I say “change”? My mistake. Well, in our sacred Metal things have stuck in the 80’s, so to speak, Heavy and Thrash that is. This results in the reunion of almost every one band that put out a demo at that time (why?) putting on some spikes and trying to rock out. They’re trying to fit on in the current revival train actually but that’s another story. Witchery is not a band of that category. Their offerings are sporadic yet on a steady basis. So, here we are with the seventh delivery of the band. Things don’t seem all that different for the Swedish black/heavy metallers. Well crafted diminished riffing (their trademark if I may say so), variety of tempos, cool shrieking vocals with a growl touch when needed. All good, well performed but without any surprises. This LP flows smoothly but don’t except a song as cool as “The Reaper” for example.
