So ,we’ll try and keep this as cool as possible. “March Of The Saint” is the debut album by THE TRUE SAINTS of Los Angeles. “March Of The FUCKIN’ Saint” is the definition of “let the good times roll” Heavy Metal. Actually this lp is what Heavy Metal is all about. Five dudes, really talented, both in terms of musicianship and composition, arguably in their early 20ies, established their rumor as the loudest band in L.A. The early Armored Saint shows are memorable to this day for their sheer volume and scorching energy! This energy had to be pressed on vinyl and, yes, the dudes delivered a blazing piece of metal backed up by songs bound to become classics.

The lyrics? Everything that could appeal to an early 20 year old in the early 80ies is represented here. Sex, booze, love let down, envy, Heavy Metal, imminent threat of nuclear destruction(they had actually time to consider this), you name and this lp delivers! Songs? Namedropping is one thing I really hate BUT in here you’ll find “Seducer”, ”Stricken By Fate”, ”Madhouse”, ”March Of The Saint”, “Take a Turn” among others and, YES, here lays THE ULTIMATE ode to “I just wanna stick it to ya and then disappear” “Can You Deliver”.  All of those songs are Heavy Metal of the highest order.

So, why “March Of The Saint” and not their later glorious stuff (“Delirious Nomad”, “Raising Fear”, “Symbol Of Salvation”)? Simply put, I find the savage energy and “boys night out” aura irresistible.

One last thing. I really find it useless to refer to the members of the band. Each one of them has his own history on his back. This is actually the age of the internet, “Google” them and find out for yourselves.
