Creeping Death is one my favorite bands that we’re born in the 10’s and their old-school Florida-based death metal is an dealing with violence, war, death and insanity. Their debut studio full length 2 years ago entitled ‘Wretched Illusions’ was a blast as the expectations they made with their first ever release “Sacrament of Death” EP in 2016 were totally fulfilled. ‘The Edge of Existence’ is their new EP which actually connects the aforementioned beginning of the band with their present and future. The EP features 3 brand new tracks ‘The Edge Of Existence’, ‘Relics From The Past’ and ‘Humanity Transcends’.

There’s a video for the opener title track in which their drummer Lincoln Mullins pays homage to the late, Power Trip frontman Riley Gale with a painted on “Riley Gale Forever” drumhead. Additional to these three new songs the EP also features all songs from the ‘Sacrament of Death’ (‘Doused In Flames’, ‘Sacrament Of Death’ and ‘Skinned Alive’) release from 2016 too. As all 6 songs from the EP was produced and mixed by Ryan Bram (Gatecreeper, Spirit Adrift, Terminal Nation, Sex Prisoners, Bitter Rivals), you can hear a small difference as a revitalized version of ‘Sacrament of Death’ songs. Great songwriting, full of energy, thick guitars, brilliant hooks and several wicked tempo changes.

The Bolt Thrower and Obituary influences are well blended with many hardcore elements and as their guitarist Trey Pemberton says, “We’re aren’t trying to be the most innovative death metal band. We just want to be heavy and fun. You’ll hear a natural progression from Wretched Illusions to The Edge Of Existence. And the next LP will be different, as well. Each release will be at least a little bit different from each other, but they will all still sound like Creeping Death. That’s who we are.”

With a second full length around the corner, Creeping Death keep their name hot by offering a strong release that works like an appetizer for their die-hards. The EP is already out since October 8 via eOne.
