Genre: Slam/Brutal Death
Label: Relapse Records
Whoever has a sick mind or twisted aesthetic or a strong stomach -I guess that it works better if one has all of them- and saw the music video for “A Virulent Strain Of Retaliation” from Devourment in its entirety I think he or she will be curious to hear the rest of the album and probably be much satisfied if so. Because the album is one of the sickest moments of the year. Since Conceived in Sewage Ruben Rosas is back on vocals, original drummer Brad Fincher is back, and the group has reunited with producer D. Braxton Henry who played a significant role in making their debut Molesting the Decapitated a classic among fans of the genre. The new album may not lacks of brutality but it lengths almost 25 minutes and it would easily fall in the trap of routine if it weren’t there the pure madness and the absolute lust for blasphemy. Tones of eight string tone insane riffing, guttural vocals and raw slamming is here for your pleasure. A must buy for all the insane and the torture worshippers.
