Dishammer was born in 2006, and their name is a tribute to Discharge and Hellhammer. Firstly, they had a vocalist who quit before recording anything and then vocalist/drummer Dopi -also on death grinders Machetazo– arrived to join the band. Three are from Madrid and one from Coruña (Dopi). Raúl played guitar with the sludge rockers Moho, Iñaki Chunchurreta played bass in Moho and Maniac and also was vocalist for the grinders Looking for An Answer, and Víctor was drummer for Disnation, the local crustcore legends.

“Rough Mix (2-2-08)” is their first effort, a cult demo that was self released and its 19 tracks try to capture the aesthetic of tasteful vintage pornography and support anything against christianity while are forcing you to bang your head. Actually all of Dishammer releases were trying to do this…

“Vintage Addiction” is the debut album for the madrilènes. First time out was in December 2008 but (probably) most heard it when Hell’s Headbangers Records released in 2011. Dishammer have created aggressive (& impressive) music with characteristic raw sound, based on black metal, blended with punk elements, old school thrash feeling & d-beat, all mixed with Motörhead riffs and brave injections of crust. The perfect artwork makes the album an even cooler release. A must have album, ideal for fans of Discharge, Darkthrone, Hellhammer, Venom, Barbatos & Disfear.

A 7” split with The Warwolves with s/t, in 500 copies was out in 19th of November 2009, via Parasitic Records. And in 16th of October, 2010 in only 135 copies on red color vinyl the single “Behind Black Doors” was released via Sons of Kain. The 7” was available only at the “Thrash Zone Festival” this particular day (on October 16th, 2010.) B’ side of this disc has the track “Erinnerung Von Morgen”, which is in fact Suicidal Tendencies’ “Memories Of Tomorrow”, that Slayer had as a bonus cover song on the Japanese CD edition of “Undisputed Attitude”.

In 22nd of May 2010, six months after the split with The Warwolves, Dishammer released an EP entitled “Under The Sign Of The D-Beat Mark”. Not far from their debut style, the Spanish delivered once again crusty black metal mixed with 80’s thrash and hardcore, which will please everyone that can distinguish quality aggressive music from noise pollution… G.B.H., Hellhammer, Discharge, Venom & Bathory elements are everywhere in Dishammer sound, filtered with their personal touch and without losing the old school feeling of the late 80’s.

In December 2010 a cassette was released in only 200 copies via Kandar Mosh Distro, entitled “Collection 2008-2010”. As the title says this cassette is actually a best-of/ compilation from the 2008-2010 years.

In 2011 the band split-up.
