Formerly under the moniker Martyr Tyran hailing from Bavaria Germany -not being confused with Sweden’s cult heroes Tyrann- play guitar driven Heavy Speed in the veins of Accept and Judas Priest. You may find this characterization simple or generic but then I say you are damn wrong.

There’s nothing mediocre in this album. The lack of originality in terms of something innovating is overcome with tons of catchy riffs and memorable choruses. All songs are written for arenas and to be played on stage live. So you guessed right there’s full of energy and adrenaline in their music that is 100% entertaining but not a bit cheesy as the underground spirit and feeling of the compositions helps for that. Small talk is wiser so you better check the sooner the better at YouTube before you buy this album.

Tyran’s Oath is the band’s debut album and it features nine brilliant songs that flirt to become anthems of a new generation thirsty for Teutonic steel. They brought me in mind also Swedish aficionados Ambush, Haunt, Night Demon and certainly Kiske’s era Helloween.

It is not only a great debut but also a promising one, for those to come so this is mainly the reason I am overexcited about them. In a Heavy Metal Universe in which most of us give so much to many for those that had offered us let’s do something new and give a lot to a band for those about to come… crossing of course my fingers though for any case!!! Highlights in an album with no weak moment or any filler: Bomber which is like getting out Ram it Down, Fists of Iron, the Accept inspired Thrill of the Chase, and the almost perfect triplet Highway Warriors (Helloween like hymn), Strike of the Whip and Riot on the Streets in a record that it gets better and better after its first half and as it plays one more time on my stereo.
