I went to this, most possibly, last live act in a club for this summer due to the chief editor’s endorsement and the good company that followed me. None of the band had I heard before. Finally, everyone had a good time but me…
Angelknight had nothing to do with that though. The band gave its best, despite the tragic sound of Stage club. How is it possible in the year 2015 not being able to make out what singer’s voice and a general buzz prevailing? The band is making a dynamic come back this year with its first full-length with the name “Α-Ω” and I must say that I pretty liked their songs. Simple, heavy with certain orientation and well-played.The presence of many photographers and a professional camera gave away that the band is preparing a video-clip or something. I wish to them the best of luck!
Elm Street from Australia…The sound was still a mess and it was barely possible to distinguish the guitar riffs. The band was full of energy on stage and they were excellent in the “stage presence” part. However, their singer, in an attempt to be communicative, went over the top. Blah, blah, blah metal brothers….blah, blah metal is the law…blah, blah united we stand…blah, blah we came from down under tokick your ass and other graphic statements that went on and on and on between the songs…The final strike came from the songwriting.A horrible mix of influences, starting from heavy/thrash/speed and ending with even hard rock ones. Besides that, the songs themselves and the lyrics, sadly, sounded to me like just B class. The sound definitely wasn’t helping, but still I didn’t listen to something interesting besides the covers from Dio (HolyDiver) andTwistedSister (S.M.F.). I go home and I see that the band is signed with Massacre. What the f**k? There are at least ten unsigned Greek bands that are 10 times better that Elm Street!
The crowd, however, wanted to have fun and many of them actually did, dancing and stagediving! Good for them! With a load of beer “no metal is bad metal” after all! …
