Μegaherz (Megaheart) is a german industrial metal band from Munich formed in 1993. Megaherz have gone through many changes in musical style since their founding. Their early works are a fairly dark alternative metal, comparable to 1990s American bands such as Faith No More, whereas recent works are comparable to bands such as Oomph! andRammstein. Their early albums all include at least one song based on a classic German fairy tale, including “Rapunzel”, “Windkind” (“Wind child”) and “I.M Rumpelstilzchen”.

Megaherz primarily plays a style of Neue Deutsche Harte, a sub-genre of industrial metal which takes elements of groove metal, techno and German rock, also known as dance metal (tanzmetall), a term invented by Rammstein. They make use of clean and deep vocals, heavy riffs, samples, keyboard and synthesizer effects. Alexander “Lex” Wohnhaas (vocals) is a subaltern version of Till Lindermann (Rammstein) as his voice is quite similar to his. The album has a concept around zombie-hunting but sang all of it in german with highlight tracks “Fanatisch” and “Zombieland” which appears as commercial in the 4th season of “The Walking Dead”. Neither cold nor hot.
