An axiom, postulate, or assumption is a statement that is taken to be true, to serve as a premise or starting point for further reasoning and arguments. The word comes from the Ancient Greek word ἀξίωμα(axíōma), meaning ‘that which is thought worthy or fit’ or ‘that which commends itself as evident’. And there’s an axiom in Teutonic metal saying that when you see Accept = you will be thrilled. Not every record by the legendary German outfit being a masterpiece, but yet there’s no album uninteresting or leaving its listener disappointed. The reliability of Accept works excellent here (again) even though there now only one surviving founding member in fact there’s only Mark Tornillo and guitarist Wolf Hoffmann been left from the 2009 ultra reunion configuration.  It’s the spirit of this huge name that makes every record to count every release big news for the Metal community. Personally speaking I was in love with their previous effort Mean To Die. And my excitement and expectations were high. In Humanoid nothing has changed a bit; the writing pattern, the guitar driven rhythms, the riff machine and the nasty squealing vocals, the thinking man’s lyrics,  the galloping leads and the oriental melodies here and there.  I guess most of you know that what Humanoid gives to us is a couple of hymns to add in our wanna-hear-them-live list of songs by Accept and as for the band another excellent excuse to go on the road again. Highlights (that would like to hear them live on Release Athens Festival on July 21, 2024 and cross my fingers for that, from Accept) : “Frankenstein”, “Diving Into Sin”, “Unbreakable” and “Mind Games”. It’s not easy to be so good for more than 40 years , Accept make it seems like that…
