Antagoniste is a French one-man band. He is going to release his debut album, “The Myth of Mankind”, at March 30th, 2015. This recording is something like Avant-garde Black Metal with a unique mix of Sludge, Doom, darkened pieces of Progressive music and disharmonic Shoegaze rock.

The whole atmosphere of the album is dark, is doomed and is something like “Welcome to the blackest side of Mankind”! The melancholic “images” are flourishing with the heavy intense bass, synths and some clean guitars fulfilling the gaps between music and feelings. Moreover, the melodic guitar rhythms create a nihilist touch letting us thinking about the future perspectives.

Vocals, which are dressed on black, dark, demonic and whispered sounds with paths full of fear activity, seed the whole atmosphere with hate and orgy and at the same time with pain, sorrow and sometimes with a sense relief. Indeed, the music is quite infernal but with no special or complicated parts. There are some sessions in which slow rhythms and a kind of solos in guitar make you digging your grave and mourning for your lost soul! Actually, some of the compositions and rhythms are so simple that sometimes leads to a boring listening.

Generally speaking, Antagoniste reveal the Eschatology by transcending the mediocrity of Mankind. As Antagoniste says: “This is the beginning of an evolutionary musical journey that will help you to explore your inner-self abyss”.

RECOMMENDED SONGS: “The Demiurge”, “The Fall of Man”, “The Ritual” and “The Nihilist”.
