Can you be minimal and rich at the same time? Can you sound vicious and unholy while featuring monasterial chanting in your song? I can continue like this but my point is that Anticreation can match several contradicted or opposite elements in their 34 minute long album as they have the blessing talent to compose excellent songs and making it seem like the easiest thing to do. The duo from Athens delivered almost 2 months ago a bestial album full of dark and ritualistic compositions that are based on fast guitars mixed with slower parts and mid paced riffs, guttural vocals, full of screams, wicked melodies, eerie atmosphere, chaotic lyrics, tons of tremolo picking and blast beats bringing me in mind Immolation, Teitanblood, Pseugod and Lucifyre. “From the Dust of Embers” is their debut full length and it was recorded, mixed and mastered at Descent Studio, and with layout by Cold Poison an logo and inner parts by Nox Fragor Art. Anticreation are Necro on guitars (which is/was also in: Burial Hordes, Enshadowed, Respawn the Plague, Vomit Church, Merciless Crucifixion, Skiltron N.V. 101, ex-Hellmight, ex-Mournful Night, ex-Seventh Xul, ex-Suicidal Forms Elite) and vocals and Noctus on bass, while Krzysztof Klingbein has handled the drums and Slanderer the ambient/noise tracks. If you’re into mysterious utter Black Metal mixed with ultra-brutal Death riffs that slam your head then this is your thing! Highlights: “Kathagiasis”, “From the Dust of Embers”, “Abomination Reborn” (personal favorite) and “Unborn”.
