BISHOPS GREEN have managed to draw a huge attention and create a strong fan base in the 2,5 years of their existence. Consequently, they are considered to be in the top of the punk / oi! bands of the modern days. With their roots being in the punk / hardcore scene of USA & Canada, since their members have played in bands like Alternate Action, Champion, Burden, The Lancasters, Filthy Rocket and The Authorities, BISHOPS GREEN have been influenced by British oi!, 80s punk rock and the first wave of NYHC.
After a very successful first EP and their participation in compilations like ‘Oi! Ain’t Dead’, it was time for the first full length album of the band from Canada. ‘Pressure’ consists of 10 songs of melodic oi! / street punk, including gems like ‘Another Door’, ‘Vengeance’, ‘Rat Race’ and ‘Hell In A Handbag’ (featuring guest vocals by Lars Frederiksen of Rancid, The Old Firm Casuals and Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards) You can easily listen to the album from start to finish and play it again and again after it’s over. BISHOPS GREEN are touring Europe again this summer, playing in big festivals like Rebellion in the UK and Endless Summer in Germany. Hopefully a promoter will bring them over Greece, as well. Who knows?!
