Sarajevo to Become the Metal Capital of the Region Once Again on February 13-14
On February 13 and 14, 2026, Sarajevo will once again become the center of the regional metal scene, as the third edition of the Eternal Flame Metal Festival takes place at Dom mladih.
A festival that has quickly built a recognizable identity, Eternal Flame continues to grow – this year it will be bigger, louder, and stronger in production than ever before. Since its inception, Eternal Flame Fest has united the spirit of Sarajevo with the raw power of metal, creating a unique bond between cultural heritage and contemporary expression. The two-day program brings 10 bands from across the region and abroad, covering nearly every subgenre of metal – from industrial death and black metal to classic heavy sounds.
Headliners
Brainstorm (Germany) – Power metal masters active since 1989, known for their dark, heavy sound that fuses heavy, thrash, and speed metal with melodic choruses and the powerful voice of Andy B. Franck. Their performance promises pure, uncompromising metal that will shake the very foundations of Dom mladih.
Blaze Bayley (UK) – The legendary former voice of Iron Maiden and an icon of heavy metal. Blaze’s career embodies passion, endurance, and an unshakable faith in music. This year, he’s coming to Sarajevo to deliver raw emotion, timeless anthems, and the true spirit of heavy metal.
Other Performers
Mastic Scum (Austria) – One of Austria’s most ferocious and respected metal acts. Since the mid-’90s, they’ve been crushing stages with their brutal, technically precise death/grind sound. Their Eternal Flame appearance will be a sonic assault to remember – pure, relentless industrial metal essence.
Thy Legion (Malta) – Dark veterans of death/black metal with over two decades of existence and four albums. Their latest release Grand Cosmic Funeral has thrilled critics and fans alike. Expect a ritual for the darkest souls – in the vein of Belphegor, with demonic melodies and insane blast beats.
Kryn (Croatia) – One of the biggest metal bands in the region returns to Sarajevo after 12 years! Their distinctive sound blends massive riffs, dark atmospheres, and powerful vocals that balance control and pure aggression. Kryn is synonymous with authenticity – every show an explosion of energy.
Deadspawned (Serbia) – A death metal band from Belgrade, formed in 2022 by current and former members of cult acts such as Sacramental Blood, Amon Din, and Scaffold. Coming to Sarajevo for the first time, their brutal set promises to tear Dom mladih down to its foundations.
Power Surge (International) – A new international heavy metal project led by Sarajevo-born guitarist Srđan and Croatian vocalist Roko. Their debut album Shadows Warning (2025) received rave reviews from Deaf Forever, Rock Hard, and Rocks magazines. Expect technical riffs, progressive twists, and a strong old-school metal sound.
Klapan (Banja Luka) – Formed in 2019, Klapan blends thrash, groove, and metalcore into a unique wall of sound. Following their EP Pandemonium, they became known for their relentless live energy – and they’re bringing pure chaos to Eternal Flame.
Semetra (Sarajevo) – An alternative metal band formed in 2020, known for its genre-defying mix of punk, stoner, thrash, and symphonic metal. Their debut album Gods on Earth delivers a powerful and fresh sound that tears down stylistic boundaries.
Ludilo (Tuzla) – Old-school thrashcore veterans formed back in 1989. Their demo Čoban tjera monstrume holds a cult status across the Balkans, and their comeback brings a wave of nostalgia and a true lesson in classic thrash.
Tickets
Early bird two-day passes priced at 60 KM (30 €) are available starting November 1 via Kupikartu.ba and at Sarajevo Disk Music Shop (Radićeva 2, former Marki). The offer lasts until December 1, after which prices rise to 70 KM (35 €) for two-day and 40 KM (20 €) for one-day tickets. On the festival days, tickets will cost 80 KM (40 €) for two days and 50 KM (25 €) for one day.
