After the highly decorated clip for Bruce Dickinson’s signature song “Tears Of The Dragon” — which has already collected 16 international awards and continues to accrue more — a companion visual arrives. “Change Of Heart” was filmed in São Paulo, Brazil, in September 2025, when Dickinson teamed up with directors Leo Liberti and Antoine de Montremy to craft a moving, cinematic accompaniment to the deeply affecting ballad.
In the video, Bruce performs inside a derelict venue at the city’s core, joined by guitarist Philip Naslund, while a parallel story unfolds that mirrors the human condition: even amid turmoil, decay and hardship, life persistently strives to regenerate.
Across the film, vignettes of modern existence are depicted through individuals from diverse ethnicities and cultures. These scenes expose a society frequently preoccupied, estranged, and blind to the suffering unfolding in plain sight.
Running alongside this narrative is a child carrying William Blake’s painting “The Good and Evil Angels.” He acts as a quiet emissary throughout the piece, neither judging nor providing simple solutions — only observing. As an ongoing admonition, his presence urges viewers to consider their own decisions and the path humanity has chosen.
Dickinson explains: “When we filmed the ‘Tears Of The Dragon’ video in Brazil last year, I felt it was the perfect chance to also highlight ‘Change Of Heart.’ This track has always meant a lot to me, and with the fresh arrangement on the ‘More Balls To Picasso’ album, its message and impact feel even stronger. We chose the Blake painting because he spent much of his career exploring the perpetual struggle between innocence and experience, freedom and spiritual bondage, awareness and alienation — themes I know my own work often touches on as well. That’s why placing the young boy in the video with that specific painting is intentional. This reworked rendition of “Change Of Heart” stands out on last year’s More Balls To Picasso. Remixed, remastered and featuring numerous re-recorded sections, it re-envisioned the original 1994 Balls To Picasso as a modern, high-energy and ambitious set of meticulously crafted, fully formed songs.
