Time has come to raise some hell! The deafening Bulldozing Bastard duo is back on track! On March 13th 2015 their second full length album will be released on CD format and on a 12inch vinyl via High Roller Records and will be distributed via Soulfood.
Even though the band was formed just in 2012, they’ve already released a full – length album in 2013, called “Bulldozing the Vatican”. Their intentions were made clear from day one.
Bulldozing Bastard is an assemblage of first wave black metal, speed metal, punk, rock ‘n’ roll and N.W.O.B.H.M. A brilliant mishmash. Like a bastard child of Venom, Motörhead, Gehenna and Tank! So… indeed Bastards! So be prepared! 32 minutes of total destruction with lyrics about the Kult, fighting, booze and of course heavy metal, lie ahead! Open a new bottle beer, fill some shots with your favorite whiskey and hit it.
“Under the Ram” is a very energetic and straightforward album without having to copy the aforementioned bands to succeed. The Bastards have their own way! Comparing this album to the previous one (“Bulldozing the Vatican”), this one is one step forward. On everything. Compositions, vocals, production. Kommander’ s vocals are rough as a shaggy beast bellowing, roaring to the drunk speedy and evil rock ‘n’ roll gods. Nice surprised throughout the record with sparse rhythmic solos here and there. Great ear-piercing riffs which drag you along through the entire album! As for the drums, I’m fond of their sound! Old – school and modern at the same time. The ferocious attacks on cymbals and snares, the striking toms, and oh! that godly bass drum and pedals making your heartbeat synchronize with the beat. Just perfect!
Track that jump out are “Queen of the Night”, a great introduction to the rest of the record, “Mayhem Without Mercy”, “Under the Ram” and “Let the Bastard Roar”. The last one is absolutely fucking amazing, with incredible bass in its intro. 3 and a half minutes of punk ‘ n’ roll mayhem! “Alleys of the Underground” is a great deviation on the record. Different from everything else and what we’re used to. A spin-off approach on guitars and vocal, with a definitely catch, mind – sticking solo. On “Under the Ram” track, Genözider said: “Under The Ram comes straight from the dirtiest gutters of the German underground. Watch out! This record is neither supposed for sissies, nor for weekend possible!”
To put it in a nutshell, “Under the Ram” is a great record. A background theme on a scene where gangs dressed in leather and chains rush into the local disco and start demolishing everything in their sight. It pumps up your blood pressure! Check it as soon as possible!
Bulldozing Bastard : Irön Kommander on vocals and bass and Genözider on vocals, guitars and drums.
