This is the debut album for the Australian act Coffin Lust. The two members of Coffin lust, J.R. (Impious Baptism, Sithlord, ex- Zemial, ex- Destroyer 666, ex -Azazel’s Harem, ex- Toxic Holocaust and many more) and P.W. (Azazel’s Harem, ex- Funeral Twilight) are finally released their first strike through Hells Headbangers.
Death metal at its best could someone says to describe the album. From old school and straight to the face sound like Tormented, Dismember, Autopsy to a more darkened death metal the Incantation, Immolation, Dead Congregation style, “Manifestation of Inner Darkness” provides happiness to every death metal fan. The self-titled track sounds great with an amazing hellish outro, “Beyond the Dark” is true old school death metal (this track was also included to the self-titled demo cassette back in 2012 – the only release of the band since today) and “Prophecy of Malevolence” maybe is the best song of the album. The beautiful artwork from almost unknown Jai Raphael should be mentioned. Last but not least, production, which is based mostly to reveal a gloomy atmosphere than anything else, but this is what is needed for such stuff.
A promising debut and one of the best death metal releases for 2016 since now. Check it!
