Crisix and Angelus Apatrida are the most famous Spanish thrash bands of the last 15 years. They have a stable record presence and now they are releasing their sixth full length album, entitled ‘Full HD’. Crisix is a group which concerns the thrashers who accept the funniest view in their music. After all, they are not the first to do such a thing and most likely not even the last. They have even released their own pizza, a video game, a mini – movie and a cook book! On the purely musical side they are pretty good. In this record, although they move within the limits of thrash, they manage not to sound one-dimensional. There is the standard thrash in ‘The Many Licit Paths’, the Bay Area driven ‘Extreme Fire Hazard’ and the crossover ‘Full HD’. In ‘W.N.M. United’ many singers from bands of the same generation and genre, are invited to give this way a message of unity of the scene. ‘Escape the Electric Fate’ is influenced by the traditional music of their country, while in songs like ‘Macarena Mosh’ and ‘John Was Born for Metal’ there is the funny optic we said above. The songs are placed in this way inside the album, so that these changes in style are obvious and the truth is that the 42 minutes of ‘Full HD’ pass without even realizing it. The fans of the band will surely be satisfied, while those who like bands like Lost Society and Municipal Waste, they have to listen to ‘Full HD’ and they will discover a new favorite band.
