Hailing from Bristol England Cryptworm released their debut full length entitled ‘Spewing Mephitic Putritidy´ on March 11 via Me Saco Un Ojo Records (LP) / Pulverised Records (CD) / Extremely Rotten Productions (MC). Great feeling, filthy structures, sick sound, a barrage of heavy riffing, many tempo changes and a bunch of furious vocals combine a deadly combination of pure evil and ferocious Death Metal album. The whole record in its entirety has a disgusting vibe and oozes a pukey aura. You will find similarities with Austrian gods Undergang and Finnish cult heroes Demilich. Their rhythm section is solid and probably will bring in mind Obituary or Autopsy sometimes. Cryptworm features Hungarian bassist, guitarist, and vocalist Tibor Hanyi (Rothadás, Tyrant Goatgaldrakona)alongside drummer Joe Knight (Pale Mist, Swarost) that create a strong group that delivers excellent its groovy and technically intact Death Metal that its main characteristic despite the obnoxious guitars and atmosphere the deep almost out of this world, guttural vocals. Powerful and constant drumming, thick bass lines and aggressive guitars that take the lead accompanies the eerie vocals making the final result full highlights like “Disgorged Chunks of Life”, “Septic Phlegm Asphyxia” “Immense Cerebral Decomposition” and “Disembowelment (Draped in Gore)” that fans of Carcass, Autopsy, Cannibal Corpse, Undergang, Cerebral Rot and Demilich will just love.
