You can’t blame a band’s members for being lazy even if they have 4 years to release a new album. Especially when they deliver a double cd including 53 covers! This is the ultimate covers collection, entitled “Cadaver Traditions”. A massive 53-song collection, compiled by two out-of-print covers albums, 2002’s “Zombie Hymns” and 2004’s “Rotten to the Core”, and generously added with 17 more unreleased songs. You can find the obvious classic Heavy Metal or early Death Metal to Tech-Thrash and Hardcore via Epic Metal to Punk and plenty more in between, as Deceased here they pay tribute to all their music heroes and influences that created their own sound. Take a deep breath… Venom, Anthrax, MDC, Impetigo, Bad Brains, Mercyful Fate, Dead Kennedys, Iron Maiden, Sheer Terror, Krokus, Ozzy Osbourne, Znowhite, 45 Grave, Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, Slayer, Sodom, Excel, Exciter, Xentrix, The Doors, D.R.I., Saxon, Verbal Abuse, Voivod, Raven, Motorhead, Kreator, Agents Steel, Raw Power, Hirax, Warfare, Metal Church, Suicidal Tendencies, Tankard, Angry Samoans, Ramones, Plasmatics, Running Wild, Dio, English Dogs, N.O.T.A. and a version of “The Ballad of Harry Warden” from the horror classic “My Bloody Valentine”. I can’t review a covers collection album or put a grade on this kind of release but you can hear in its entirety below and find out with your own ears if this is suitable for you to buy it. I’ll definitely buy it though!
