A new split release is going to tremble the progressive death / black / grindcore scene, or is you prefer “astrogrind” as Dephosphorus have named their genre. Greece’s Dephosphorus and Finnish Haapoja are about to release a split vinyl on February 12th 2015. This release will be a collaboration between Handshake Records, 7 Degrees Records and Nerve Altar. I guess that’s why the LP will bear the name “Collaboration”. As we’re used to, the record consists of 2 sides with a total of 9 tracks. On side A we’ll have 4 tracks of Haapoja and on side B 5 tracks by Dephosphorus. Trivia: The bands exchanged singers on each side’s opening song and the solo by Dephosphorus’ tribute to Slayer “Shades of Reality” is by Haapoja’s Pekka Kivela. The record is considered a tribute to the late Jeff Hanneman.
