Metal Invader has attended last Friday (26/6/2014) the pre-release party of DOOMOCRACY, at the legendary Route 66, in Herakleio Crete! Together with the co-metalhead and colleague VIC (thanx for the beers) and Dimitris ‘Altars of Metal’ Petrakis, we hung out and listened to songs from their new album ‘The End Is Written’. The small joint, the crowding, the noise and all that, didn’t allow us to have a complete taste of the whole album, however the bottom-line is this: Pure Fuckin’ Epic Doom. The mix in their music is 51% Solitude Aeturnus, 29% Candlemass and 20% Double headed Minoic Axe! The vocals strongly resemble Rob Lowe and at times they go even higher, the guitars are purely doom. With all that noise in the place sadly I was unable to make a verdict about the drums and bass.
Considering that the mixing was performed by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Evergrey…) and the mastering by Peter In De Betou (Morgan Lefay, Memento Mori, Entombed… ), we have high expectations. The band is currently seeking for a record label and is already in discussions with some labels from all around.
