EXODUS has decided to part ways with Rob Dukes after nine years. It was immediately announced that he would be replaced by former vocalist Steve ‘Zetro” Souza. Souza joined EXODUS in 1986 and left in 1993. Rejoined in 2002 to depart again in 2004. So Souza is up for his third run with the thrash metal legends. Guitarist Gary Holt comments:
“As a band we had to make a very difficult choice to part ways with Rob. We have nothing but love and admiration for him, and the deepest gratitude for the hard work he’s put in, and the great work on some killer records. But at this time we thought a change was necessary – and the unanimous choice was to welcome back Steve to the fold.”
It is currently unknown if Rob Dukes’ vocals on the upcoming tenth album will be replaced by Souza’s.
