Genre : Thrash Metal
Country : Switzerland
Label : Self-released
Year : 2014

The “self-released” trend has climbed to a whole new level over the last few years and it makes its appearance in constant basis in the pages of this webzine. At the same time, bands that play thrash metal burst upon the metal underground scene non-stop. Good for us! So in our review sector today we are hosting a band from Basil, Switzerland, which represents the foretold features.

Old school thrash with lots of crossover elements. The key points in “Gladiator” are the short, in-your-face songs, the speed, the fast, sharp riffs, the frequent use of backing vocals and the political-social sarcastic lyrics. Not uncharted territory in thrash by all means. Freakings never set to become pioneers in the music genre they love. Still, their romantic approach, their purity and the amount of energy they spread with their songs, all head this release to being genuine fun. Forty minutes of relentless thrash, crafted in order to entertain and to be performed live. All the thrash fans are welcome to check this band out at the following address.
