Polish evil metallers Gallower will release their highly anticipated new EP, Eastern Witchcraft, on July 29th via Dying Victims Productions. Actually I wasn’t aware of these guys even though they were formed in 2015. Of course their early years were spend on demos; their first demo, Witch Hunt is On, was released by Shadow Kingdom Records, their second one, Through the Gallows, followed a year later, while both demos were re-released together on CD by Under the Tyrant’s Banner. Finally the power trio released in 2020 Behold the Realm of Darkness. Now guitarist Nocturnitier, drummer Speedfire and screamer Tzar on vocals create a vicious, unholy, furious and blasphemous EP featuring five violent tunes. This EP could have been recorded in middle 80’s somewhere in Western Germany. No surprise that their sound has similarities with Destruction, Sodom, Kreator, and Violent Force and it is heavily influenced by Bathory, Hellhammer and Venom. We can also hear elements from Bulldozer and early Slayer here and there. “Eastern Witchcraft” is a 17 minutes long crescendo of madness based on frenzy thrashing guitars, galloping rhythms, battering drums, violent growls and face melting solos. Brilliant, raw and primal. Dying Victims will release Eastern Witchcraft on multiple formats — MCD, black vinyl, bone vinyl, and digitally. The vinyl shipments will include insert, poster, sticker, post card, and download code, and the bone vinyl also includes a woven patch.
