Τhe Athenians punk-doomsters Heavier Than God after a decade of jamming and rare performances, finally they are present to the current uprising local doom rock scene, presenting their new song from the upcoming full length album with the sarcastic title “The Self-Titled Album”. The also sarcastic title of the song is “Doomed and Confused” and is an excellent example of what the band call doom-punk.

You can see it here:

Heavier Than God – mutatis mutandis- is kind of supergroup, having in their ranks members and former members of bands which once had or still have a wide acceptance by the local audience, such as The Darkstar, One Block Society (R.I.P.) and Lord 13.

The promotion of their new project (which is set to be released officially in the following months) looks like it’s handled by the local indie record label Trailblazer Records, which is the one that posted their new song, as for the band the probability to see them on stage is not ruled out.

Surrealism : Pure psychic automatism, by which one proposes to express, either verbally, in writing, or by any other manner, the real functioning of thought. Dictation of thought in the absence of all control exercised by reason, outside of all aesthetic and moral preoccupation. Surrealism is based on the belief in the superior reality of certain forms of previously neglected associations, in the omnipotence of dream, in the disinterested play of thought. It tends to ruin once and for all other psychic mechanisms and to substitute itself for them in solving all the principal problems of life.
