Just a few days before their upcoming shows in Athens and Thessaloniki, I had a bit of chit chat with Seasons AC! Check them out!
Hello, guys! With delight, I welcome you to Metal Invader! Is everybody doing well? Are you getting ready for your shows in Athens and Thessaloniki?
Hello and thank you very much for this interview! We are doing very well! We could say we’re full of excitement and creativity, especially these last few days.
I’d like to begin with the simple stuff, in the sense that it is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to people who may not be familiar with you yet. Tell us a few words about Seasons AC. How did your name come up, how did you all get together and what were your initial goals?
SEASONS AC were created in the summer of 2014 by friends who were familiar with each other via different bands and wanted to compose something tougher, melodic and fast. In simple words, they wanted to create their own music (really the first discussioninvolved exactly these terms!). Since then, there have been many concerts with domestic bands, as well as favorite bands from abroad.Until now, we have released an EP (2015) titled “4”, two digital singles (‘Petrichor’, ‘BLACK’) and three music videos (‘Winter Nights’, ‘Petrichor’, ‘BLACK’). The name came easily from the moment we were looking for something good to stay with the listener. Binding came very hard after a lot of bumps and argues and many productive sessions, mainly due to different, demanding programs, until we realized our main goal, which until now remains the same. The time we have on our hands, we try to exploit it best way we can with producing a lot of music and to build pleasant memories.
What were your main influences and how has the musical background of each one of you influenced the musical expression of Seasons AC?
The main influences of the current lineup are bands such as Rise Against, Afi, Alexisonfire, Billy Talent, etc. Of course, we have two more metal influences to weigh things up. The influences are obvious; we don’t try to filter them out, since we are satisfied with the result.
Even though the band wasn’t formed decades back, yet do you think that a number of goals have been achieved by those you have set? Which is your most immediate next target?
The basic goal, as mentioned above, is to enjoy what we do, and maybe now we are doing more well than we thought we would. The next direct goal is the release of our album, which won’t be late.
A characteristic of the genre you serve is the personal character of the lyrics. The daily struggles and difficulties we face individually and collectively. Is that the case for Seasons AC as well and what is the message you want to convey?
The question itself covered our elementary frameworks. What we want to convey is that life and everyday demands are difficultand sometimes unexpected, but that does not justify vanity and inertia, which we personally face. Everything that deserves much work and dedication always has a pleasant result. So, we remain humble, grateful for our privileges and focused on what we are dedicated to.
You are expected to give a show in Athens (13/04, An club) and one in Thessaloniki (15/04, Eightball Live Stage), shows run by Straight From The Heart Records. What to expect from Seasons AC?
We are looking forward to presenting our new material and to gather some insights for that. Also, after last year’s appearance in Thessaloniki, we are looking forward to returning again, due to theextraordinary embrace we got.
