John 5 main guitarist for Rob Zombie released a new video for the song, “Making Monsters“. The video took six months or more to make and it required two directors.  Matt Zane directed all the live-action stuff, and Johnny Coffin directed the stop-motion sequences, in which models of monsters—as well as a model of John 5 playing guitar—come to life. The main inspiration for the video is Merion C. Cooper, who directed the original King Kong film. That movie came out in 1933, and it pioneered some great stop-motion approaches, and the guitarist wanted to pay homage to Cooper for that.

The track is taken from the new upcoming solo album ”Guitars, T!ts, And Monsters”, which will drop in 2016.

Surrealism : Pure psychic automatism, by which one proposes to express, either verbally, in writing, or by any other manner, the real functioning of thought. Dictation of thought in the absence of all control exercised by reason, outside of all aesthetic and moral preoccupation. Surrealism is based on the belief in the superior reality of certain forms of previously neglected associations, in the omnipotence of dream, in the disinterested play of thought. It tends to ruin once and for all other psychic mechanisms and to substitute itself for them in solving all the principal problems of life.
