ΟΔΟΣ 55 Lp (eirmi 09) … in sequence to their first Lp (2012) plus their 7” inch single Aπο την άκρη της νύχτας(i.e., From the edge of night) (2013), ΟΔΟΣ 55 (ODOS 55) reintroduce us to a course of sound that explicitly identifies modern dystopia. Based on a set of electrified tracks that in total pay homage to noisy minimalism, this new album concludes as an additional milestone to the group’s history. The album is comprised of compositions that artistically ground in faded signs-visual anchors, artful deviations and proverbial cries, distant noises and emerging outbursts … From the introductory impetus of the same-titled ΟΔΟΣ 55(i.e., ODOS 55) to Ισταμπούλ’s (i.e., Ιstanbul) systematically developed agonized climax and from Είναι αυτοί’s (i.e., They are those) wakeful readiness to the frenzied intensity of Ύπνωση Τηλεκίνηση (i.e., hypnosis telekinesis), the group’s new LP occupies its own special place within the contemporary underground music’s firmament.
