Ne Obliviscaris: Share First Details on Sophomore Album

Last Updated on 11:54 AM by Lilliana Tseka

Australia-based Ne Obliviscaris just announced that their second album will be released November 7 through Season of Mist. The record will be entitled ‘Citadel’ and its beautiful cover art can be seen above.

With many outstanding albums already released the competition for my ‘top 5 album of the year’-list is quite tough. If this album will be half as good as their debut ‘Portal of I’ it is bound to make that top 5 list. It is difficult to put Ne Obliviscaris under just one category as they succeed in blending death, black, thrash, progressive with melodies from jazz and even flamenco. Music that will make fans of technicality and complex songwriting drool.

Those of you who want to hear the band live outside Australia can still sponsor the band crowd funding campaign for their world tour on this location.

For those of you who can’t wait or – more likely – have never heard of Ne Obliviscaris: Enjoy “Xenoflux” of the mighty ‘Portal of I’ album below. After you have fallen in love with their music, be sure to follow them on Facebook for future updates.
