Noble Savage: San Andreas (Anavryta)

Agios Andreas is the most heavy metal church in Greece and definitely the only Orthodox neo-Gothic style temple (with a pointed tile roof, antennas in the corners and the bell tower, colorful windows) in Athens. It was built based on designs by Ernst Ziller, disciple of Theophilus Hansen. It is located at the Anavryta School inside the Syggros  Park. Due to its specificity it has been portrayed in many demo covers (photo Necrotomy), and many metal bands have chosen it as a background scenery for their photo shootings (photo Rotting Christ, Sleep of the Angels era).
