Imagine aweird mix of Iron Maiden, Motorhead and Tank. This pretty much sums the musical vision of the band with one of the coolest names around. Obsessed Octopus adds a bit of N.W.O.B.H.M into its rock ‘n’ roll drink and gets hammered in a matter of seconds.Lots and lots of great melodies, “drunken” vocals and cool guitars createthe perfect twenty-five-minute break from any other serious, satanic, ultra-metal thingyou’re listening at this period. There are no hymns or songs that stand out here (ok, the Instrumental “Octopus Invictus” is a bit better from the rest …) and that is because Obsessed Octopus refusesto get trapped within the known metal barriers. Listen to it as a whole together with a couple of beers, relax and enjoy.
