I really appreciate people that don’t take their selves way too serious. I also don’t give a shit for bands that believe they are the centre of this world or their work is something we should worship ‘till the day we die. P.T.O.M.A. definitely doesn’t care what others say about them or their work and seems to enjoy it. They play fast, groovy thrash metal with punk attitude and heavy metal (even epic sometimes) elements. Lyrics may offend some, but whoever listened to M.O.D., S.O.D. and similar bands won’t be among these guys. Judging from the songs’ titles you can figure out the subject that the lyrics are dealing with. I believe that titles as “Shit Into Existence”, “Wrath Of The Anus”, “Tupa Or Not Tupa”, “Meeloh Ya Sena”, “Die With Titties In Your Face” are representative. Musically speaking, their thrash, besides M.O.D. & S.O.D, has references also to Overkill, D.R.I., Whiplash, Nuclear Assault, Suicidal Tendencies & Anthrax, as you could imagine. I really like their guitar solos, that are simple and quite entertaining, while the thick bass line that reminds me of D.D. Verni’s playing, impressed me even more. “Shit Into Existence” is a really awesome release that take extra kudos for the song “Mad Jack”, that tells the story of a soldier slaughtering Nazis during World War II using as a weapon only his sword… Brilliant story or what?
