I am not used to write reviews for the genre played by Postraumatic (Industrial / thrash and kinda post I would add), but for them I will make an exception.There are two reasons for this decision. One is emotional as with the guys from Postraumatic we shared several times the same stage, we saw the same problems and we had the same concerns about the metal genre in the underground. The second is that the lyrics are socio-political and is one of the few cases where we are talking about a group that targets the capitalist system in his writings. Yes the Postraumatic are not mincing their words. The script is mature, savvy, angry and knows what in what “class” it belongs. Let’s move on to the music part …
Postraumatic manage skillfully and with style to combine the heavy / thrash style of Kreator and generally the German Holy Trinity (Sodom / Kreator / Destruction) with the industrial experimentations of Jourgensen’s Ministry and the Post / Apocalyptic atmosphere of Neurosis but in a way that does not replicate the above but they manage to form their own style based on the above. Pretty interesting and very rare for a first attempt of a band! The unworldly extreme vocals are contributing to the atmosphere of the “Script”. The “riffology” of the album varies from the entire spectrum extreme metal successfully. The album starts with an epic industrial intro and the first notes of “Rectified Conscience” introduce us properly to the atmosphere of the “Script”.”Recycling the gods” will remind me of NWO by ministry.”Us (the Voiceless) who watch them” (Carefull with the long titles guys :-P) come with a more mid-tempo melodic approach that ends with a repetitive doom post ending with a horror aesthetic (I could live with less chainsaw like sounds though!) .”Monetary Sanity” follows almost with a dance feeling.”Forgotten Venus” is my favorite song from the album.Is there a term such as disturbing industrial ballad?Maybe … Listen “Forgotten Venus” and “Sunna” and you will understand what I mean! ” Slept” comes with an experimental mood. The influences of film score is evident in the album. “The Inhumane” is the “hit”of the disc. Groove-thrash and nothing else counts :-P. Somewhere here after the necessary instrumental we reach the end of the first part with “The Behaviourist” (perhaps the most thrash track of the album) .The album does not end here as Postraumatic give us the re-recordings of their first ep. My personal favorites from the ep are the “Sunna” as I mentioned above and the “Industries of suffering”. Check them out and support our local scene! I wish you the best guys!
