I tend to enjoy live shows in mid-week, because they give you the opportunity to get out from the daily grind for a while. So, last night in our favorite basement of Exarchia AN CLUB we welcomed Radio Moscow, in their second stop in our country.
The turnout of people started early and the show opened the Athenians, The Cave Children. The four-piece psychedelic-pop band intrigued quite enough people with their garage-rock tunes and the rich vocals. At first they were a bit dull but as time passed they evolved and they stepped up playing tracks from their upcoming debut, which will be released during 2015. With smiles of pleasure, they delivered the stage for the moment that everyone was waiting for.
It was high time to enjoy for the third time, the majestic psychedelic trio, Radio Moscow. After a short delay, due to technical reasons, the power trio started strongly and a veil of psychedelia and blues covered everything and everyone in AN CLUB. Their latest album entitled “Magical Dirt” was released in the summer of 2014, received praise from all over. And surely without a doubt.
With now the only original member being the multitalented guitarist Parker Griggs, they gave us a show to remember. The packed AN Club was moving to the vibes emitting from Parkers guitar , giving its mark and travelling the crowd in the 70s,the era of Cream and Hendrix, transferring the nostalgia and the pure dimension of revival with his every riff and magic solos.
Bassist Anthony Meier firmly clutching the adrenaline with the groove palpitating while drummer Paul Marrone, without being able to hide his talent, released a captivating power, overwhelming energy and especially towards the end, in No Good Woman demonstrated a fantastic drum solo.
Of course, they came back onstage for the encore and they renewed their appointment with the Greek audience after recording their brand-new album.
All in all, it was a music experience nobody should have missed. The warm feeling of nostalgia from the finest psychedelic rock-stoner blues revival you could pour yourself into.
