Rage was always one of my favorites. Not exactly what we call giants among men still a decent name that could stand next to megatheriums of extreme sound even though it would never get a status like Sabbath, Priest or Motorhead. Their discography tremendously rich in quantity and quality, could please every fan of Teutonic Heavy/Speed/Power while it features some excellent gems in a row that started from late-80’s to mid-90’s before the band lost their fan base despite the fact that continued to release great works. Now in their 3rd or 4th era Peavey Wagner that led the band from small victories and great triumphs to commercial disaster, always with solid releases and often brilliants compositions has the confidence and the balls to release an EP (containing six songs, three of which are new ones, while the other three are here played in different versions) only one year after their last and 25th studio full length “Resurrection Day”! No we are not dealing with an only-for die-hards EP or with relics from “Resurrection Day” yet it will bring it in your mind as the songs were they were recorded during the sessions of it. Personal favorite the track “The King Has Lost His Crown” while the other two new tracks “To Live And To Die” and “Spreading The Plague” are also pretty awesome.
