In Hardcore/Punk Crust We Trust And Long Live The Underground. A word shy dozen can describe what these Yorkshire killers deliver in a nutshell but then you miss pall the fun and the anger so you better check below their band amp page to hear the less than 20 minutes long sophomore album entitled “Savage Visions” from the hardcore punk act of Rat Cage. It was my summer soundtrack -it was out on June via La Vida Es Un Mus- and yes it’s 10+1 anthemic tracks are catchy as hell and furious as fuck. Melodic, chaotic when needed, flirting with Black Speed Metal, with equal doses of Scandinavian Crust influences and U. K. Punk elements, crushing, full of speed, razor sharp lead breaks, dark, with strong lyrics, political/ radical wise with “Sinister Town”, “Through The Darkness”,“Expensive Bombs”, “Scapegoats Of Fear” and “Spitting On The Ceiling” being some of the most addictive tunes you’ve heard for long time from a punk/hardcore band. It’s a pity to surpass this gem. Will bring you in mind The Varukers, GBH, Venom, Midnight, Totalitar, Crucifix and Disfear among others.
