To make a long story short let’s get straight to the end, without jumping into conclusions though… : Sarke is an all-star project that never fails to deliver, and this happens once again here. Endo Feight is Sarke’s eighth album. So “end of eight“ sounded good to the dynamic duo of Thomas ‘Sarke’ Bergeli and Nocturno Culto. It also gives the feel of “end of faith“ as Bergeli comment on an interview on metal1 (https://www.metal1.info/) as also the clock of doom on the artwork cover did count down to the end too. A difference with their previous efforts is on drumming as the mastermind Thomas ‘Sarke’ Bergeli replaced Cato Bekkevold,as he felt that he had a better feeling of the songs atmosphere. The band continues writing songs outside the box of the classic Black Metal pattern, sounding experimental and adventurous despite the fact that both Thomas ‘Sarke’ Bergeli and Nocturno Culto recorded albums with Khold and Darkthrone respectively this year, yet they have bravely explored new music paths here being almost theatrical while atmospheric parts dominate here with acoustic moments, some blues guitars, doom metal atmosphere, keyboards and melodic elements (some speedy guitar soloing are also melodic) flourishing the already rich sound that can be described as an amalgam of mix of 70’s rock and 90’s black metal. Of course we should mention the excellent warm production that leaves the proper vital space for everything (ideas and vision) to shine and all instruments to breathe. Endo Feight is definitely dark, gloomy and doomy in its glory while Phantom Recluse, Abyssal Echoes, I Destroyed The Cosmos, In Total Allegiance and Macabre Embrace are outstanding. Endo Feight was recorded and mixed at H10 Productions by Lars-Erik Westby and mastered by Sofia von Hage and Thomas Eberger at Stockholm Mastering. The cover illustration was created by Kjetil Nystuen.
