Genre: Death/Black/Thrash
Country: U.S.A
Label: Unholy Anarchy
Release: 2015

Steel Bearing Hand comes from Dallas but they could easily be Cimmerians who live in Florida somewhere in the end of 80’s.  This is their first full length album and in the 32 minutes of running time ( 5 songs!) they tear down whatever comes in their way. Pure, furious death metal, with many changes in the songs without being progressive for a second, something like slower version of Demolition Hammer with influences from the great school of Dissection, Bathory, while they also worship Frost and that is something you can tell by looking at their lyrics or by their songs titles like “Usurp The Hidden Thrones” for example. All these are filtered through the classic American death metal sound which was raised by virgin blood at the beginning of the 90’s era, and a very good and tight modern underground sound and songs that stay nailed in your head like “The Charnel God” or the 9minute “Tyrannical Shadows” that sends to hell many of the so called black metal bands.  Part of their identity is also the amazing groove in many parts, with great riffs that don’t forget the proto-thrash of their country, as it was played in the mid 80s both on east and west coast.

So the sum is this: it’s damn good release that can satisfy all the fans of extreme metal and it’s time for a major label to find out about them and add to their roster, one of the best American underground bands.
