I kept wondering about how would Suicidal Angels sound after their two top albums and especially after the album “Divide And Conquer”, which is their most mature one, from the point of compositions. And most importantly, I thought about whether they had reached satiation and if they should walk along the path they paved with this record’s predecessor, meaning that they should experiment more. From what I can tell, the band didn’t think about it a lot and the record is consistent with the signs of the end times.

Angry, intense; a thrash holocaust with tracks of small duration, breathless merciless pounding, the riffs pass by your head like bullets and the skeleton of the tracks reminds us strongly of Slayer in 1990 and back, but of course having their own style. Regardless if one of the best and already favorite tracks is the Bolt Thrower –ish «Front Gate» with clear impact-tribute to the English gods. The whole character of the band hides in maybe the top track of the album «Image of The Serpent» , while closely follow tracks such as «Eternally To Suffer», «Set Τhe Cities Οn Fire» and «Of Thy Shall Bring the Light».

For the rest, Ed Repka created another great artwork and the advent of Drax Gus (Sunburst, Black Fate, Paradox) has elevated the band’s execution levels, while large base has been laid in production with everything seeming to be taken care of in detail. Certainly their sound is their crowning moment. With this record, from what we have seen so far, their shares have risen even more and every indication shows that they have reached the peak of their careers. The focal point will come with the next album, but until then let’s enjoy this one.

The album comes with a DVD-thrashumentary with several live songs and interviews of the members describing life on the street with all the nice and nasty things they usually face more or less emerging bands like Suicidal Angels. The show steals the band’s bassist Angelo with his lines. All we can say is… onwards, no compromise, guys! The spiteful and the miserable can walk away.
