California crossover thrash/hardcore icons Suicidal Tendencies have returned with their first new music in six years, a single titled “Adrenaline Addict.” The track, which dropped recently and features guest vocals from Nisha STar, is accompanied by an official visualizer.
This new song also marks the recorded debut with the band for their latest additions: guitarist Ben Weinman (formerly of The Dillinger Escape Plan), bassist Tye Trujillo (son of Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo), and drummer Jay Weinberg (ex-Slipknot). While Weinberg previously collaborated with Suicidal Tendencies on a 2024 remake of their 1999 track “We Are Family” (re-released as “Nós Somos Família“), “Adrenaline Addict” is the first original song to feature this lineup.
Lyrically, the chorus of “Adrenaline Addict” encapsulates the band’s signature sound, proclaiming, “Give me some punk/ Some metal and thrash/ Blast it a lil louder/ The soundtrack to life/ How victory sounds/ To the Adrenaline Addict.” Musically, the track blends math rock riffs with pop-punk vocals.
The release of “Adrenaline Addict” comes just ahead of Suicidal Tendencies‘ scheduled support slot on the North American leg of Metallica‘s “M72” world tour in 2025, which commences today, April 19th, in Syracuse, New York. Throughout this tour, Suicidal Tendencies will also share the stage with Pantera on twelve select dates.
In addition to their appearances with Metallica and Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies have also announced a series of their own headlining shows throughout the summer. Their current lineup still features founding member and vocalist Mike Muir alongside longtime guitarist Dean Pleasants.
