Sumac features Aaron Turner (of Isis, Old Man Gloom, and Mamiffer), Brian Cook (of Russian Circles) and Nick Yacyshyn (of Baptists). The trio’s debut The Deal (2015) revealed a new side of Turner’s combustible songwriting and guitar work, further expanding on his efforts in Isis and Old Man Gloom.
The second album, entitled ‘What One Becomes’, comes out on June 10, 2016 via Thrill Jockey Records (CD or 2xLP, limited clear vinyl + shirts!). You can listen to new song ‘Rigid Man’ below:
