My first contact with the Portuguese Terror Empire has been made and I admit that I’m excited. On the first album (preceded and an ep in 2012) the band plays thrash metal with a modern production, but sticking to a traditional patent type, in a way that will certainly appeal to fans of Sepultura, Slayer and Lamb of God, Chimaira and Pantera.
There are songs that become instant classics like “Skinned Alive” and “Servant”, while listening to the album, my interest remained intact. Exceptional players all of them, but if you have to focus on anyone in particular, he is the guitarist and particularly his well – played leads.
I do not know if they will be the next big thing, yet they definitely worth your attention.
