A live show by The Haunted is always a pleasant event for the heavy metal audience of this city, so one more time couldn’t be any different. Having seen them again back in 2001 (during the “The Haunted made me do it” tour), I thought it was time to check on them once again and see whether they had made any progress, and how they had matured as a band through the years and all the member’s changes. To be honest, I hadn’t been satisfied in their performance back then, so this time I was a little nervous as to what to expect.
Usually a good start is a good sign, and fortunately things kept this way! As soon as I arrived at the club it became obvious how well-organized, well-planned and professional this concert was: a perfectly organized event.
The evening opened with veterans ACID DEATH, and although I have seen them several times in the past, I have to admit that this has been their best! Their tech-death was perfectly played, their new songs sounded great, and it seems that the member changes on the guitar and drums have brought great results to the band! We are looking forward to their new material.
The time has come, and The Haunted took on the stage! After a few minutes I understood that this live show should turn to a storm: the band was on fire and the mosh-pit was never-ending! The great performance of the band and the manic reactions of the crowd were out of the mind! “My Enemy”. “Bullet Hole”, “Hollow Ground”, “In Vein”, “Undead”, “Trend Killer”: one hymn after the other like slaps in the face and the hellish show ended up with “Hate Song”. An unbelievable show, an unbelievable band! 100% Metal!
