Genre: Industrial Metal
Country: Finland
Label: Nuclear Blast
Year: 2020

The name Turmion Kätilöt surely sounds new and strange, but if you pay close attention, you’ll get to notice that they are Nightwish’s support act for their upcoming (yet postponed) tour and they also pulled off a new record from Nuclear Blast the past few days. The name, the themes, the aesthetics, all seem like we have to deal with another masterpiece from the extreme European metal zone.

Oh you Finland, you did it again. What the fuck is happening in there? Every band that pops out is quite extraordinary, yet severely interesting to watch or listen to. “Global Warning” is another masterpiece with Finnish origins, while Turmion Kätilöt are more like an updated version of Rammstein, with a little bit of punk and folk elements, singing in their mother tongue. The album consists of death, mean, disco beats with some really extra industrial-like vocals, alternated by two different vocalists, yet with quite similar voices. Mostly, because there are also parts that have a deeper, maybe hip-hop beats that can probably be compared to metalcore. Seems like if you enjoy experimental sounds, TK will look fascinating next to your disc collection!

You’ll be surely surprised, highly doubt that you’ll be disappointed!
