Heavy, subdued and “evil.” The only way to characterize the sound offered by USNEA, a band from Oregon which incredibly combines, various dark genres. The Random Cosmic Violence, is the third disc of the band consisting of four tracks.
The style of the band is pretty special and I think this is a band which impresses you at once, because even though they have long tracks, I can comfortably say that none of the tracks leaves indifferent not even on second. The tracks are based on the overall heavy sound of the band, but each one individually has something special that gives the feeling thatbetween them, there is is something completely different. A completely different story. But the consistency between them is not lost and that is something truly remarkable since the tracks are unpredictable, dark and every time I hear them, they have some small details that I had not noticed before.
Personally I could hear the whole album many times in a row and I believe many fans of the genre would do the same. That’s why I think the audience listening to USNEA for their first time should have enough patience and hear the whole album because it is a long musical journey which trully stimulates all of the senses.
