Vibrant is a stoner metal band hailing from Siedlce, Poland and was established in 2013 and after two years they released their debut album entitled “The Hell Is Around Me”. Now they return with their sophomore album that it comes rather late to our hands as it was originally out in 2022. Yet its quality makes us still want to write a couple of words about it. Its title “Trying to Survive” probably is a statement from the band and its 7 compositions work very fine in this direction. Speaking of direction this is that main problem about this release. Even if they blend hard rock stoner and sometimes thrashy riffs and grooves they seem to lack on focused direction on how they want to sound as they often flirt with radio friendly tunes that miss the memorable chorus despite the fact that it looks like they over try to make a hit, something that isn’t so pleasant for the listener. Yet they have good ideas, solid structure, they know how to make melodic parts and have a balance on faster and slower songs. It should last more than 30 minutes and have more songs like “The Last Man on the Earth” and “This Night”. Last notice the only sung in Polish-language song, “Słodka pieśń” that closes the album which is one of the strongest compositions of the album.
