Underground Union Crew Heraklion (U.U.C.H.) started as a team, back in 2009 in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, with a purpose to organize live shows and similar musical events. Without the use of sponsors and entrance fees it tried, and still tries to promote the local independent music scene and make it popular to as many people as possible. Punk Rock, Hardcore, Metal, Alternative Rock, Stoner, Doom, Surf, Garage Rock and other experimental music genres compose the “musical identity” of the team. An “identity” that has room for everyone wanting to promote, in an amateur way, their musical or artistic creations. Furthermore, a priority of the U.U.C.H. is supporting the bands when it comes to recordings – productions and their promotion in general. During the team’s 6 first years of existence, the following albums were released in cooperation with the U.U.C.H.

1) Fountoukia – Demo
2) Nterti Dancing – Social Punk (Demo)
3) “Mondadikes Epitihies se PeriodoKrisis” Vol.1 (A compilation with Greek bands and a lot of previously unreleased tracks)
4) The Strakastroukers – Nterti Dancing SPLIT (Internet Release)
5) “Mondadikes Epitihies se Periodo Krisis” Vol.2 (The sequel of the aforementioned compilation, this time containing exclusively unreleased tracks)
6) Lost Bodies–Live in Heraklion (A live recording of Lost Bodies during a gig for U.U.C.H.)
7)The first two Demo tracks of Reprisal (Internet Release)

During 2015, the following releases are planned:

1) Sushi Killers 7” (The first official release of the band)
2) Reprisal – Innocent Blood (their first full length album)
3) Nterti Dancing – Full length album
4) Wreck – Full length album

Beyond these activities, the team is part of the Social Union “The Cog”, which ran an independent stamping ground in the city of Heraklion during the first half of 2014. The Underground Union Crew Heraklion is still a part of this union, contributing to cultural activities and planning musical and social acts for the future.

After all, as long as there are people supporting the local scene, these initiatives will go on.
