Wode released their 3rd studio album in late March 2021. It came to my hands only 3 weeks ago…Finally…! The band hails since 2010 from Manchester that isn’t the most famous place on Earth for Death Metal, still these guys know how to create malicious music. Their previous efforts 2016’s self-titled debut and 2017’s “Servants Of The Countercosmos” were a total blast -even though with more Black Metal elements-, so 20 Buck Spin couldn’t miss to release their 3rd crucial album. In nearly 40 minutes and 6 songs later you will be convinced that we are dealing with a great band. Raw melodies, Scandinavian inspired Death Metal with a plethora of savage bites of Black Metal in the veins of Satyricon, Dissection, Watain and Akercocke, along with a chaotic Thrash elements and 80’s aesthetic is more or less what you get in this ravenous violent crescendo full of a mixture of blistering and Maidenisque solos, tremolo riffs, pounding blast beats and sepulchral atmosphere. “Burn In Many Mirrors” is a Blackened Death gem that deserves your attention just before the dawn of 2022…
