Xeper’s forth full length album has been released by Soulseller Records and is entitled “Ad Numen Satanae”. Without deviating from the path the band has already paved with its three previous albums, this record is balancing between the eerie Black Metal structures and the atmospheric elements that the dark world hides. Certainly, from a purely musical point of view, we have an even result, quite neat and with character. The attention to detail is evident, as is the passion that oozes from the compositions. How else could it be with Francesco Giacomin (Guh.lu) at the helm of the band and Daniel Ryan Grainger (Maelstorm) on vocals? There are many moments that can captivate you and make you lose briefly track of time. However, I will personally just stay here. I don’t know to what extent “Ad Numen Satanae” will be able to win the bet of time and be remembered by the devotees of the genre in the future. It’s a really well-made album, but it doesn’t offer you such strongly memorable moments or flood your mind with thoughts of it being one of the most stand-out records of 2021.
